Details:Ā  Larger than average Limoges porcelain trinket box in the shape of a standing bunch of asparagus. The box opens about half-way with a bronze frame clasped by a bee. The lid is painted pale green with a brown line delineating the "stalks", which are tipped in lavender.Ā  The lower half of the box is painted much the same, down to the green painted ribbon binding the stalks together. The interior is glazed white porcelain. The bottom of the box is signed by hand "Peint Main Limoges France GR" roughly translating to Hand Painted in Limoges, France for Gerard Ribierre. Small slip of paper inside states "March 9, 1995".
